The Biosphäre Potsdam is located in the midst of Potsdam's green heart - the Volkspark Potsdam, within walking distance of Sanssouci Palace, Ruinen- and Pfingstberg and Cecilienhof. The traffic management system leads cars in Potsdam directly to the Biosphäre Potsdam.

150 free parking spaces for cars (including disabled parking) and bus parking spaces are located next to the Biosphäre Potsdam.

    From Potsdam central station:

    • Tram: Line 96 towards Campus Jungfernsee, get off at Volkspark, in front of the Biosphäre Potsdam
    • Alternatively: tram line 92 direction Bornstedt / Kirschallee, get off at Campus Fachhochschule and from there walk along the right-hand bend 300 meters to the Biosphäre Potsdam

    The Biosphäre Potsdam recommends traveling by public transport and traveling by bike. Free bicycle parking spaces are available directly at the main entrance to the Biosphäre Potsdam.

    Coming from the motorway, exit at the following junctions:

    • From the north: Berliner Ring A 10, AS 25 Potsdam Nord
    • From the south: from Berliner Ring A 10, AS 17 Potsdam Süd, B2 via Michendorf
    • From the south-west: Berliner Ring A 10/115, AD 16/9 Nuthetal, AS 6 Babelsberg
    • From the east: coming from Berlin AK 4 Zehlendorf

    Please follow the traffic management system in the center of Potsdam with the signage "Biosphäre" or "BUGA-Park".

    160 parking spaces for cars (including disabled parking spaces) and bus parking spaces are located directly next to the Biosphäre Potsdam.

    The paid parking space is managed by fair parken GmbH.

    The parking fees are as follows:

    • The first 3 hours cost a total of 3 euros.
    • Each additional hour costs 1.50 euros.
    • The daily rate is 8.00 euros.

    The Biosphäre Potsdam is easy to reach from Berlin by public transport. Lines S7 and several regional trains run from Berlin, all of which stop at Potsdam Central Station.

    By tram from Potsdam Central Station

    Take line 96 towards Campus Jungfernsee to the “Volkspark” stop, which is located directly in front of the Biosphäre Potsdam.

    Alternatively, you can take line 92 towards Bornstedt / Kirschallee to the “Campus Fachhochschule” stop and from there, walk 300 meters to the Biosphäre Potsdam along the right-turning rails. (Both journeys have the main station Potsdam as a starting point)

    By car

    Coming from Berlin, take the motorway at the following junctions:

    From the north: Berliner Ring A10, AS 25 Potsdam

    From the east: Coming from Berlin AK4 Zehlendorf

    Please follow the traffic control system in the city center with the signs "Biosphäre" or "BUGA-Park"

    Not only adults will find numerous opportunities to relax and discover in the Biosphäre Potsdam, the exotic tropical world in the outskirts of Berlin - with our guides, exciting tours through the tropical house can be undertaken, which are also a fascinating experience for children, school classes and birthday parties.     Hot and cold drinks, cakes and small snacks are served daily in the Café Tropencamp - a perfect refreshment for your family outing in the Berlin area.

    On selected Sundays, the tropical brunch takes place in the orangery of the Biosphäre Potsdam, where families can enjoy homemade delicacies under the palm trees. The Restaurant Urwaldblick and the entire tropical hall can also be booked as an exotic event location outside opening hours.
